Young children, for the most part, are unable to vocalise their health concerns. Children have an inherent innocence and vulnerability. As a young doctor, I realised that I had the personality and the clinical skills to be an advocate for children. Being part of their healing journey is an immense responsibility which I take seriously. I am a mother of two girls (who are now young ladies). I can therefore relate to parents and caregivers when it comes to their concerns around their children.
